Our philosophy is simple. We aim to offer delicious seasonal food, sourced locally and expertly cooked.
We want to provide really good food at surprisingly affordable prices. Our Head Chef has hand-picked all of our suppliers and we know and trust them to use ethical practices. We source only the freshest ingredients from local producers (where possible) and our kitchen team forage the rest. Our menu will always change with the seasons and we are delighted when our neighbours bring us produce from the surrounding area. It is not unusual to see pheasants being exchanged for a pint or two!
Our fish arrives daily from Cornwall and is so fresh that we often create specials according to what has been caught that morning. Patrick and his team are committed to making absolutely everything from scratch. Bread and pastries are baked every morning filling the pub with the most amazing aroma, the perfect accompaniment to a freshly ground coffee.
The main menu is complimented by our Specials, which allows our Kitchen team to be truly creative. When they are gone they are gone! And on Sunday’s alongside our main menu we offer traditional roasts which include Slow Roasted Sirloin of beef with all the trimmings.
